Disha BS started this petition to Shri Dharmendra Pradhan

This petition is on behalf of Specially Abled Deaf-Mute People in India.

We all are so fortunate enough we have been able to communicate with 22 Indian Constitutional Languages, but those specially Abled people have only one language to communicate which is *SIGN LANGUAGE*.

I am raising this petition because Deaf-Mute people are not able to get help in public places as majority Citizens of India we don't know Sign Language. During lockdown in 2020 where there was complete ban of Public Transportation and only Construction Industry and few other Industries were opened, had came across a Person who was signalling pedestrians asking for help where his scooter had broke down, couldn't understand as he couldn't speak. As normal human tendency I felt sceptical. Then later that Person gave up and started walking. As I was curious followed that person, he was trying to start his scooter which was broken down under scorching sun and nobody could understand on time and help got delayed. Not sure since how long he would have Been struggling for help and that left me shattered.

P.S.//  This incident had happened in Bangalore, India.

Guys would kindly request everyone to be a voice for Deaf-Mute People and help them to Experience the Joy of Belongingness amongst Us by making Sign Language as compulsory as other Language in Syllabus and bring this changes in Education Industry.
