Subject-SUBJECT : Request to reconsider Government GR for bond service dated 12-10-2017 –(No. MED 1017/P.K.171/17/Education-2)

Respect Sir,

I the disheartened parent of a PG Medical aspiring student wants to bring to your highlight some important facts.
My son Noman Khan have completed his MBBS from Shri Vasantrao Naik Govt. Medical College, Yavatmal in the 2017 and during his internship Period he appeared For NEET PG 2017 , but unfortunately due to heavy internship load he didn’t made to his desired branch.

The very aim of Each and every MBBS Doctor is to become a consultant or surgoen and serve our country.

According to the previous rule student had a year of exempt from the bond to prepare for the pg exam to get into the desired branch of Choice

Now, the irony is that our govt has Passed a GR just 2 months prior to the exam resulting in disqualification of the candidate for the state qouta pg seat who have not done rural service. This has resulted in upsetting the concentration & focus of students on studies .

The government is not only playing with my son's career but with thousands of Such Students of Maharashtra who were all geared up before to appear for forthcoming exams

The very fact that i and my son are not against Rural posting or bond but this rule should have been enforced immediately before or during the start of new academic session not suddenly 2 months before when the exams are on head ,where students have toiled very hard for last 1 to 2 years to clear this exam.

By restricting Government students to appear for PG exams you are indirectly giving perquisite to the private and deemed colleges students and in future you are also encouraging students to take admission for UG in private & deemed universities who have immense high fee structure, poor learning infrastructure and very few patients to avail of satisfactory clinical knowledge and no bond.

In forcing 6.5 Years MBBS course in government & Corporation Medical colleges you are closing the door to bright, talented students of all class, caste and background to come up in government colleges.

Sir this is real injustice to students by enforcing the rule to exam going students without giving them sufficient notice & time to prepare for their future. Is this the way that the medical fraternity takes care of the mental health of studious hard working students driving them to frustration & mental depression? It has sent every parent rethinking whether it was a wrong decision to encourage their children to take up medical MBBS education in government institutions.

On behalf of thousands Students and there parent i request you to please reconsider your decision of implementing the said order for this year and rethink for 6.5 years for MBBS Degree for government and corporation colleges

Thanking you

Yours sincerely
