The Alliance of We are Haiti made up of Haitian individuals and Assemblies, Organizations, Companies and Agencies in Haiti and abroad issues this Statement in Solidarity and In recognition of the Plight of the Nation today.

1. Haiti has been plagued by gross corruption widespread poverty all in the presence of international agencies taking on countless error filled false starts, culminating in an array of unmet expectations

1. Ayiti ap soufri anba yon gwo koripsyon ak povrete total kapital, malgre prezans ajans entènasyonal ki vini ak de seri mezi ki pa ka satisfè atant popilasyon an ;

2. Since Haiti has been formed it has been strangled and subjugated to detrimental direct and indirect international intervention both political and economic, local authoritarianism and economic clansmen ship, thus impeding its struggles to write its own path towards an organic democratic system.  Haïti needs a system change.

The Jovenel administration Haiti has and is experiencing critical levels of unrest, high rates of inflation, and resurgent gang violence, systematic destruction of all governance systems fostering an unprecedented degree of corruption, administrative chaos, and injustice have characterized his term

3. Administrasyon Jovenel la travèse anpil latwoublay, ki mache ak yon gwo enflasyon, anpil vyolans gangs, destabilizasyon enstitisyon ak administrasyon peyi a, koripsyon, enjistis;

4. This situation of repeated political troubles is creating an unprecedented socioeconomic crisis , widening the historical gap between have and have nots in the country that severely affects families: loss of life, private property in flames, schoolchildren stranded at home, staple foods out of stock in families, and extremely poor sanitation etc.

THE SITUATION DEMANDS AN URGENT RESPONSE

We recognize the right of a free people, our brothers and sisters back home, to determine their destiny without the meddling of foreign states in our political process. It is long overdue to end the country’s fate based on the edicts from the Republic of Port au Prince. The time is now for those living in the other 9 departments made up 144 communes and 572 communal sectors to determine the faith and future of Haiti.

WE call upon the Haitian national media and radio stations everywhere in the country to open their airwave in an unrestricted fashion to allow the voices of the 578 communes to be heard and to be documented.

WE support their calls for a National Convention to determine their future today.

Ø  Nou apiye rèl yo pou yon konvansyon nasyonal kap chita sou ki demen yo vle pou peyi a;

WE believe and are committed to the communes and communal sectors having the loudest voice in a National Convention.

Ø  Nou kwè e nou angaje n pou komin yo ak seksyon kominal yo plis prezan nan konvansyon nasyonal sa a;

WE stand with them to promote a system change,  a social contract for our nation, one we believe will finally speak to our national ethos and desire for a better Haiti.

Ø  Nou kanpe bò kote yo pou n rive tabli yon chanjman sistèm, yon lòt kontra sosyal pou peyi a, yon kontra sosyal ki gen so filozofi ak ekprime volonte nou pou Ayiti vinn pi bon.
