We choose to support Minneapolis’ teachers and increased funding for Minneapolis schools through a petition on change.org, with links and information on TikTok.

Minneapolis teacher salaries have fallen behind pay in other big Minnesota districts, according to research from the National Council on Teacher Quality, a nonpartisan policy group.  Findings show that teacher salaries in Minneapolis have barely kept up with inflation over the past three years.

Minneapolis Public Schools education funding is a complex process with revenues coming from multiple sources, some designated for specific uses. Education funding in urban districts becomes even more complex because of the number of students, schools and families involved. The recent teacher’s strike was resolved but our voices in support of Minneapolis’ teachers and education still needs to be heard.  For this reason, we have started a petition on change.org to allow families, parents and caregivers to show their support for Minneapolis Schools staff.
