Myself and two prominent TULPEHOCKEN School officials (Not to be named at this time) are looking to obtain signatures to show the school board that our community supports a football team. Not only would this give the players an additional extracurricular activity, it would give them another opportunity to obtain scholarships for further education. Tulpehocken Cheerleaders will also benefit from the addition of a football team because they would now be able to cheer for both the fall and winter sports (Football and Basketball / Wrestling). This petition will hopefully be shown at the next board meeting with hopes to move discussions forward. At this time the school district is in the design phase of new turf fields for the on-going junior / senior high project which is the perfect time to discuss a multi-use (soccer / football) field.
