Support for Current Air Rifle Legislation

This is to keep our Air Rifles under the current legislation, supporting the Commissioner of Police and Police Armourer who are in charge of guns in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Persons pushing for rifled barrels and unregulated importation of air rifles with high calibers and spiral bores have pushed the police to the point that they are planning to move the permissions for Air Rifles under the FUL (and drop the power to 800fps), which in effect will make it impossible to get.
We are saying we are happy with the regulations that currently allow us to purchase and own a .177 Smoothbore Air Rifle with only a certificate of character and stand behind the authorities who allow us to have it. This is NOT a right and it is not going to be in Trinidad and Tobago, however it IS a privilege which we are grateful for. In doing so we abide by the law and stand against those who are taunting the authorities with illegal Air Rifles and slanderous statements.
