Stop the downgrade and closure of the 24/7 Children's Ward at St. John's Hospital

The NHS Lothian review of paediatric services is likely to recommend the downgrade or closure of the current 24/7 Children's Ward at St. John's Hospital, Livingston. This will have a devastating impact on many families in West Lothian who will be faced with long and expensive journeys to Edinburgh to visit sick kids. Lives could be put at risk in emergencies by longer journeys to Edinburgh.

We, the people of West Lothian, call on you to stop any downgrade of Children's Services at St. John's Hospital, and demand that the Scottish Government finds a long term solution that is fair and equitable to ALL children and families in the NHS Lothian Health Board area.

We demand that our children's lives are not put at risk by unfair changes until ALL options have been fully considered AND publicly consulted upon.
