I sign this petition because the natural environment of Jervis Bay is beautiful, most of it, as yet fairly pristine except for patches of low-scale development confined to smallish areas around existing townships, Huskisson being one of them.

I call on Shoalhaven Council to reject the DA for a 40 room motel, restaurant and 30 apartments on the site of 3 Moona St, Huskisson due to it's likely impact on the natural and cultural heritage of Jervis Bay in general and Huskisson - its pleasant low key, unpretentious un-resort-like atmosphere in particular.
The use of public land for a car park as sought by the developer should not be countenanced. Public land is for the pleasure and enjoyment of the public, not for private developers to make alienate from public use and make money from. If the project is not viable without alienating public land, the DA should be dismissed.

The environmental risks associated with the release of contaminants from the disturbance of the site's acid sulfate danger soil is another reason this DA proposal should not be supported by council.

Overdevelopment of a largely natural creek and bush area. Who would be silly enough to buy something right at sea level?????

DA 20/1453 would irreversibly harm the environmental, ecological and cultural heritage, as well as the local amenity.

Even visitors do not want to come to Jervis Bay to see it overcrowded and resort like

I don't believe this development is in the best interest for the environment of Moonacreek and Jervis Bay.

I’m very concerned about the environmental impact on this beautiful, healthy, delicate waterway. Places like this are few and far between and extreme care needs to be taken not to destroy it.
