The t-shirt blanks that shirt.woot.com currently uses for most of the shirts it sells are vastly inferior to American Apparel (AA) shirt blanks. Complaints about the non-AA shirt blanks can be found here and here, as well as in posts throughout shirt.woot's web site (if not removed by woot's forum moderators). The poor quality of shirts has contributed to an observed drop in sales, as well as a qualitative drop in customer satisfaction and community participation (for example, submissions and voting in the shirt.woot design derby and posts in community fora). Unless a significant change at shirt.woot is made, shirt.woot will continue its long, slow decline into complete irrelevance and eventual closure of its business, which would be a loss to the consumer of a once-great source of graphic t-shirts. A return to use of AA shirt blanks for all of shirt.woot's t-shirt sales is one step in the right direction.
