Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee: We ask to discredit the book Sikh Itihaas, demand a public apology to the Sikhs

This is an important issue because the very people elected to protect The Sikh religion are releasing lies against it. Even though this issue has been brought forward already they have refused to meet our simple demands. It is to be noted, that this book was published in 1999 as a milestone of the 300th year of the Birth of the Khalsa on Visaakhi. We claim that it was intentionally written the way it is and was geared towards drawing Sikhs and specifically Sikh youth out of the pathway of genuine Sikh principles. Also, it should be acknowledged that the intention to publish and publicize this book was to demean and damage the image of Sikhs throughout the world as well as creating fake contextual history for the oncoming generation. This petition will be presented to the SGPC, the Sri Akaal Takht Sahib, and other political parties of Punjab. It will also be copied to the American Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (AGPC), American Gurudwara Council, and other organizations of the sort.
In addition to all of the above, we will be sending this via email, Change.org, social networking sites, etc. to every Gurudwara Sahib possible in the US, Canada, UK, Austrailia, NZ, etc. http://www.panthic.org/articles/3542  http://www.indianexpress.com/news/sikh-history-book-back-to-haunt-sgpc/621536  these links should help you understand the book we are disputing and why we have taken steps against it.
