Light up Lilydale Dog Park.

If you haven’t heard about the 'Pick my Project' community grant that is on the table at the moment, it is a Victorian first community grants initiative, with $30 million available to fund local projects ( Each costing between $20,000 to $200,000) It is an opportunity for members of different communities to put forward ideas that will benefit the area.
It was only recently that I was discussing how hard it is to exercise the dogs in winter as its dark by the time we get home from work. During summer, we're at the Lilydale dog park every single night but as soon as winter comes along, the dog park is empty.
My proposal is that with the assistance of Solar Sports/Arena Lights, we could light the dog park and encourage people to exercise themselves and their dogs during the winter months. There are arena lights available that last 4 hours with a full 8hr charge. This would light the park from 5:30pm-9:30pm and allow a decent window for full time workers to make use of what is already such a great asset to Yarra Ranges Council.
If lighting up Lilydale dog park would be beneficial to you and your fury friend, please sign the petition so we can show the local government that this is supported by the community!
