I support traditional herbal recipes and believe all should be able to create such goodness for themselves and their families well being.

Businesses like Shire City Herbals have no right to commodify healing plants and profit off of trademarking our traditions. Solidarity with the Fire Cider 3!

Myself and many people have been making fire cider long before the company who trademarked the name. This is not a name that can be trademarked.

I am an herbalist and the idea of the term fire cider being trade marked is ludacris. Fire Cider belongs to everyone.. not to a greedy company.

This is a recipe that has existed for many years. There are variations in several cultures but I was first exposed to it by a former supervisors mother back in the early 1980s. She was a native of Puerto Rico. In the mid 80s I learned it from Rosemary Gladstar herself during a class at the New York Open Center. And beyond all this, it is an unspoken rule in the herbal community that herbal medicine is the people's medicine. We all teach and share recipes so that generations beyond can benefit from this knowledge. Herbal medicine and nutrition knowledge is not to be hoarded and monopolized - it is to be shared for the benefit of mankind. Making your own blends are fine, taking an existing and world known recipe for herbal medicine and finding legal loopholes to privatize and profit from is nothing less than selfish and inhumane.
