NICE to remove CAM from their Guidelines
This petition had 735 supporters
NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) are currently looking at updating their guideline on supportive and palliative care and are considering removing CAM (Complementary and Alternative Therapy) services. The consultation is taking place between the 31 December 2015 and 29 January 2016 and is a draft scope.
The Shiatsu Society (UK) are concerned about this as we know practitioners who are working with patients and helped them enormously. For example, the large Penny Brohn UK cancer centre offer Shiatsu to their patients. We have registered as a stakeholder with NICE and plan to respond.
We believe that CAM should be retained within the guidelines so please do support our petition.
Please sign by 27th January and ask friends and family to also.
