Tell Ohio Senators to vote against the American Health Care Act
This petition had 438 supporters
According to the CDC, 1 in 6 children are diagnosed with a developmental disability. Many families rely on Medicare and government programs to get the services their child needs. The American Health Care Act is the Republicans' replacement plan for the Affordable Care Act. Under the AHCA, Medicare funding would be cut by $800 billion and would end Medicare expansion. The AHCA would also greatly reduce or eliminate essential health benefits that include prescription drugs, mental health services, rehabilitative services and devices, and more. This bill has already been passed by the House of Representatives and is now waiting to be voted on in the Senate. If the Senate passes this bill, it will go to President Trump to sign. President Trump has expressed his support of this bill and is very likely to sign it into law if it passes in the Senate. In order to provide a bright future for all children with disabilities, please sign this petition to tell Ohio Senators Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown to vote against this bill so it does not make it to the President.
