TIME SENSITIVE: On June 22nd, The Tampa Bay Times intends for the St. Petersburg Mayoral debates to be virtual rather than in person.

This was brought to the attention to the people of St. Petersburg in a press release by the lone voice of mayoral candidate, Vincent Nowicki who is demanding an in person debate amongst the candidates.

Thus far, the only other candidates who are open to an in person debate are candidates Marcile Powers and Robert Blackmon.

In the event of a certain bias by the media in favor of a particular candidate, virtual debates are easier to control by feeding candidates answers and also by cutting off other candidates so that their mayoral pick doesn't have the raw face to face confrontation, making it easier to skew in their favor.

Is it the will of the people  of St. Petersburg for a virtual debate or a vigorous in-person debate for one of the most exciting mayoral races this city has seen ?
