Hi, we are a group of 8th graders at Urban Promise Academy in Oakland California. Our class is doing a project where we are trying to make the Alameda County Sheriff, Gregory J. Ahern, stop giving the release dates of undocumented people to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). So far, the sheriff has shared the information of nearly 350 undocumented people. A lot of the people he is turning into ICE haven't committed a grave crime, they just have unpaid parking tickets and other non-serious charges. We would appreciate if you sign this petition to stop the sheriff from doing this, so that we can demand our rights as a community and keep our families together.
