Education and schools are reopening all states and cities. First day of school is on August 31st and Back to school is on September 8th 2020. Originally, the school year would start on September 4th, post-Labor Day. the School Board formally adopted a plan to open schools following this plan starting September 8, 2020.

Let's move the start date for 2020 to September 8th (the day after Labor Day 2020).

In this pandemic (Coronavirus) Government is likely to open Schools for Seniors from 01 September 2020 onwards.

I taught special education at Shenendehowa for 17 years and went on to become the associate director of the Autism Society of Michigan. Because of my experience, I know that the "one size fits all approach" does not fulfill the needs of all students.

I'm signing because each child and situation is different. This child needs to be as safe as possible while still getting a quality education. Shen, you've got this!

This COVID19 is NOT over yet. In fact, it is still in around peak and without vaccines yet. So, all parents and children should have an option to stay safe at home instead of taking the risk of going to school in September !

My family wants two options added the reopening plan:
1) Full online at home
2) Attendance on the days where her teacher is actually teaching in her classroom, and keep her home to do any learning on the days where she would be learning from a video or online learning application system.

Both of these options would help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

Thank you!

I want the option of remote learning instead of having my children sit in one desk all day or watching learning in another room. I also do not want to take a chance on their health. There are too many unknowns.

We need an option to remote teach our kids from
home. Having a choice allows us to make a better decision for what works for our family.
