Bring Back Video Access at Shenendehowa High School

Shenendehowa High School has disabled many videos on the website youtube.com recently, which has led to an uproar from students about censorship that is higher than necessary. Even many videos that could still be considered educational have been blocked by this restrictive filter. In addition to this, many students who like to watch Youtube videos on their free periods like lunch are now unable to do so. They can not use their cellular devices to communicate, view, or share content with each other. While I understand that some forms of communication can be considered inappropriate, this filter only allowing videos tagged as "Educational" is overly restrictive and prevents students from accessing a huge amount of information, with the vast majority of it being appropriate with school regulations and safety. There has been no stated evidence to inappropriate use of YouTube in Shenendehowa, and if there is evidence, many students would appreciate knowing about it, instead of having their access to information taken away without a word. Students have a right to have a voice about their information access. Please dispose of this restrictive filter on all devices (including personal) and let students have a voice in major decisions like this.
