I've noticed we live on the lake most residents are in mobile homes or camper/RVs the closest storm shelter is almost 20 minutes away. If a tornado warning is given there is no way we all can get out and get to the shelter in time. we also have alot of elderly that can't drive in storm conditions. I believe if we all speak up we will be heard.  This side of Shelby really needs a storm shelter let's all pull together and see what we can do to get this done I know the government has grants that help towns build community shelters we just need to right people in power to file and get things rolling.
