Petition the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) to treat SWFC & fans the same as other teams.

In 1989, 96 Liverpool fans died at Hillsborough. This will be forever in our memories and those who died and those who still suffer today will remain in our hearts and thoughts as we are part of the same football family.
Football needs to be as safe as possible so these events can be avoided in the future.
In 2014 an inquest was opened and concluded in 2016 that Liverpool fans that entered Hillsborough on that day were "unlawfully killed" after multiple failings by South Yorkshire police and major system failures. The fans were, quite rightly deemed "utterly blameless".
Prior to the inquest and subsequently thereafter, fans of SWFC have been unfairly sanctioned by the SAG which comprises of members from SY Police, Sheffield City Council & safety experts. Other clubs around the country are 'allowed' to wave flags, have TV monitors within the stadia and singing zones created to improve fan experience. Other luxuries are also permitted by different clubs in co-ordination with their local Safety Advisory Group without prejudice. Our local SAG prevent fans from pretty much everything.
The Sheffield Wednesday SAG have repeatedly prevented fans from expressing themselves during football matches and place regulation after regulation, sanction after sanction and one can only assume that they have wilfully ignored the findings from the Hillsborough inquest and STILL perceive fans to be the biggest danger to safety at a Football match.
This petition is designed to engage SAG in modernising their thinking in regards to Sheffield Wednesday supporters and other fans of clubs that they are also advising. Every fan wants to be safe on a match day and we thank SAG and Sheffield Wednesday for their attention and caution. However, we respectfully request that SAG no longer see SWFC fans (and fans in general) as dangerous but as people and fans of a club that would like to enjoy the same controls as other clubs and express themselves in a partisan and safe way.
