Reduce Tuition Fees to Match the 2022/23 Cohort (£21,000)

Reduce Tuition Fees to Match the 2022/23 Cohort (£21,000)
Over the last year or so Universities around the UK have closed down due to the spread of COVID-19 and the Governments orders to shut down all educational institutions (except for key workers’ children). This has resulted in universities only being able to offer online teaching or remote learning during this period.
Us as a 21/22 cohort were impacted by this from the first day of our course. With immediate reduction in contact hours and reliance upon “self-directed learning”.
Most of us students are at home doing our work without the support from our universities and received slow, if any responses from lecturers as some of them may even be suffering from the symptoms Coronavirus. We understand that this is not the universities fault, however there were also strikes throughout our 2021/22 studies.
that also disrupted our learning. As students we are only asking for a reduction of our tuition fee for 2022 to match the amount given to the 2022/23 (£21,000).
This reduction of £3,000, and the fee stated we were charged on the UCAS website last year do not match up showing further discrepancies and lack of fair financial practice with the misleading information provided stating “Our tuition fee for the 2021/22 cohort was £21,000” for the course.
Please regard our wishes as students during this extremely difficult time and understand that our learning and living experiences have been disrupted greatly. We are also aware of the fact that this Pandemic is the reason why universities are closed and understand this, but we should not be subject to paying full tuition for very limited resources.
Many thanks.
