We wish to claim back our tuition for the lectures cancelled due to the strikes. The total monies lost during this 8 days totals £750.00 each. During this busy time, we have had no lectures leading up to the final weeks before our assessments. This is valuable time we needed with our lecturers to ensure our final projects were meeting the criteria. Without these lectures we have lost out on feedback for development and the opportunity to ask important questions. We did not get a choice in this strike and it has affected our learning and our chances to get the best grades possible. We also feel that the money is not going to a worthy cause as the lecturers are not getting paid during this time and therefore is clearly just being pocketed by the university. We agree that this is an unfair usage of our tuition and we deserve to have it back.
