Pete Goodison started this petition to Sheffield Council and

Sheffield city council are planning to install a new signal controlled crossing at the junction of Rutland road and wood fold..

This particular area already suffers from high levels of traffic congestion at peak periods with traffic lights at the junction of pitsmoor road / minna road / cookswood road and Rutland road.

The installation of yet ANOTHER set of traffic lights within 300yds of the aforementioned traffic lights will only compound the delays caused and unreasonably increase the health risks to those of us unfortunate enough to live on or near the Rutland road area.

This proposed new set of lights ISN'T needed as with a little thought and application , the current crossing point at the junction of cookswood road and Rutland road could be modified to suit the purposes required and thus lessen the impact on local residents

None of which takes in to account the inconvenience to local residents who will lose the option to park outside their own homes, homes that have no option to have off road parking installed due to a  lack of suitable space
