Stop the noise pollution from Abbey Glen in S20

Since operations began at the new plant of Abbey Glen (formerly School Trends) the seemingly constant droning noise has polluted the, once peaceful, area, disrupting the lives of local residents and making it almost impossible to sleep with windows open, or enjoy a peaceful afternoon in the garden. Added to the noise is the unpleasant odour which drifts on the wind. Surely the choice of leaving windows open is a basic human right. This is even more vital during the Covid 19 pandemic, where everyone is being encouraged to leave as many windows open as possible to stop the spread of the disease. Obviously with summer approaching this is an even greater requirement.

Lack of sleep is having a direct impact on the mental health of shift workers, including key workers who sleep during daylight hours, along with other residents being woken up at unsociable hours by the noise & those not being able to sleep at night. Other concerns include the impact the noise pollution may have on house prices in the area.

Current working hours are Mon - Fri but it is alleged that plans are afoot to increase this to 24 hours, 7 days a week which is totally unacceptable!
