Planning permission has recently been given to build a 3 storey block of flats with a pitched roof adjacent to 111 Bole Hill Lane, which will have a devastating impact on the views, light and privacy of local residents. Complaints have been made to the council by some residents, and responses that were provided have not validated the decision to approve the planning permission.The council has also added insult to injury by stating several times that they do not consider the impact this building will have on local residents to be unreasonable; however, the scale of the building and the obvious effect it will have on local residents is obvious. Furthermore, an initial planning application was submitted a few months ago which was rejected on several grounds, one being the impact it would have on residents; and yet this planning permission, which has barely changed, has been approved. The currently approved planning permission can be viewed on the planning portal website under reference 20/00651/FUL, and the previous refused application can be viewed under reference 19/03687/FUL.
