Many students in the Shawnee Heights district have been kicked off of their bus, resulting in them being forced to move busses/find rides to even get home. This has caused drama at the least, and even panic for parents of said students. This problem has been labeled as “overcrowding” in the busses- however as soon as they kick a student or two off, they add around 5-8 more students onto the bus. Which in this case is not fair, nor does it make sense for the children who’s parents are at work and have no way to get to their children. We’ve witnessed many students in tears because they don’t have any access to get home besides hopping into someones car that they might not even know/trust. Not only that, but my own personal friends have been moved and also kicked off the busses- and yet they say this is due to overcrowding, when they add way more students than they kicked off!
