Save Lewis' Memorial Tree!

Save Lewis' Memorial Tree!
Why this petition matters
Lewis sadly passed last year at the young age of 16 and the tree is one of the main places his friends and family go to remember him. The council have demanded it to be removed by Monday 12th April, giving only 4 days to remove it anyhow.
This well loved family are dear friends of mine, it’s been so hard to see the pain they've already experienced pain we can only imagine and now they have another heartache of having no choice to remove his memorial. The Council simply can not do this to their family as its in a small corner of the park, it causes no harm and is a way for his younger brother to go when he feels down and express how he feels, he finds comfort in going to the tree as it's the only place he feels close to his beloved big brother.
The tree also has had hours spent on its maintenance to keep it clean and tidy and not disregarded and doesn't cause harm to anyone. The tree will always be maintained by his friends and family who miss him dearly. Destroying this tree will remove a part of his family and friends' comfort as it will lead to them grieving all over again. The council would just be repeating the pain and sorrow they all felt the day of this tragic loss.
