A CHILD'S LIFE MATTERS

Aboriginals living on reserves face everyday struggles.  Aboriginal children and future generations will face the same struggles their parents and grandparents had to face if they do not receive a proper education.

Indigenous students face many issues on a daily basis.  Aboriginal Education is a national problem in Canada.
These students need proper education and resources so that they can have a better and positive future.  We need to ensure that these children do not follow in the footsteps of other young adults who who have not finished their education.  Our Government needs to make changes to fix this issue.

This national problem affects Indigenous people all across Canada.  Our government is doing nothing to fix to this issue.
This is affecting our future.

- 4 out of 10 young adults living on reserves across Canada have finished high school.
-In March 2016, it was reported that Indigenous students receive 30% less funding than non Indigenous students in Canada.
-Many students are forced to leave their homes and have to travel far away to go to school which has also caused major issues for Indigenous youth.
-For young Indigenous people suicide is a major problem. Between the ages of 15- 29 suicide is the second leading cause of death.
-Over 58% of young adults living on reserves have not completed high school.
