This tree was planted in 1962 in memory of property owner's late husband and children who tragically were lost in a plane accident.
This block between Lombard, Chestnut, Hyde and Leavenworth has deep San Francisco roots including that of an early home of Phoebe Hearst where young Willie Hearst played as a young boy.
We are one step closer, but we’re not there yet!
