Hello. My name is Keely Mellott and I go to West Holmes High School in Holmes county Ohio. Today I was on instagram and saw that Ohio had passed a law stating that a female who does not look, play or act as feminine as the other girls will be examined by a doctor. This will be happening to girls as young as 10-11 years of age. As a female athlete, this law makes me disgusted and feel disrespected , as well as unsafe playing the sports I love to play. Teens/preteen girls should not have to feel unsafe or go easier in a sport they love due to fear of being sexually assaulted by a doctor. It does not matter if this doctor is male or female. It is still sexual assault.
