StopsexisminSchools.orgSexualizing girls needs to be stopped. I’m not talking about just one school. i’m talking about all schools that have the exact same problem. I’m making this petition because girls should not be sexualized. “Those are to short” speaking of shorts. It should only be short if you can see more than your thighs. “Your legs are long” should not be an excuse! “If they were on other girls that are shorter than it would probably be different”.This is sexism. “You can’t wear that your straps are to thin”. No,your straps aren’t to thin. What’s a little collarbone? What’s wrong with our shoulders? Nothing is wrong with our shoulders nothing is wrong with our straps. 3 Fingered rule for straps. This doesn’t make any difference. What’s a couple inches of fabric going to do? That’s because “It’s distracting to your classmates” No. It’s not distracting because if it was distracting everyone would be talking about it. So no your shoulders aren’t distracting. It’s Adults fault. They look. They stare. That’s there problem not us girls. We should not be changing our clothes because adults are looking at teenagers and children. It’s ridiculous. “cover up”, “change your pants”, “your shirt is to low”. No. Your shirt is not to low because another girl has warn it, the only reason they say that is because you have breasts. Girls can not help how their body’s are made. Males will walk around with tank tops but girls will get dress coded if they did that. Belly shirts. “Get a different shirt”, “don’t wear that again”. No. Girls belly’s aren’t distracting. Let girls wear what they want. Let them wear what there comfortable in. Girls belly’s are a piece of skin. Does that mean we need to cover up our arms? Our legs? It’s skin. Its human. Let girls wear what they want because it hasn’t caused a problem. Let’s face reality. The only reason teachers dress code us is because we have breasts, and a butt and thighs but if you don’t have that they won’t say a word to you. That’s sexism. That’s choosing who is distracting to you. A girl can be skinny but everyone is the same. Every girl is the same. We have the same body parts. Stop sexualizing them. I want change and I know thousands of other people want change. So let’s stop sexism.
