My fiancé and I recently purchased a home in the Serrano Summit Community in Lake Forest, CA. Our house is close to several businesses that use large trucks that make extremely loud noises starting at 5AM in the morning. You've probably heard these noises yourselves and been woken out of your sleep as well: truck reverse alarms, loud banging as items is dropped onto the trucks. On top of that, CC&R starts picking up trash as early at 5:30 as well. These disruptions must stop.

The Lake Forest City Noise Ordinance  (FAQ) (PDF) has been in place since 2013 preventing loud and disruptive noises during the hours of 10PM to 7AM. We feel the companies operating near Serrano Summit are in violation of this ordinance and action must be taken. We've contacted the Code Enforcement Division of the City of Lake Forest but the noise has continued, so the code is not being enforced properly.

We're asking for your support as a community to stop these disturbances and disruption to our lives. By signing this petition, you're showing the city this is a problem that needs their immediate attention. We only seek to have the city enforce the Noise Ordinance already signed into local law.
