Through school young girls and women are taught that our bodies are a distraction, well me and a bunch of other females are sick of it. From the ages of 11-18 we are sexualized  and considered a distraction. We’re taught that we need to “cover up” for the consideration of men and boys. Chests,thighs,shoulders and stomachs are not sexual organs and should not be considered one and if you are distracted by a girl being confident in her own body, you are the problem not her. I strongly believe that it is not fair that girls and women are forced to “cover up” just because boys and men can not keep their hands to themselves. So instead of teaching these girls that our body’s are a distraction why don’t you teach these boys to keep their hands to themselves and to respect everyone no matter what there wearing. My goal is to lessen the harsh dress codes at Serena high school.
