Sign this so we can fix how messed up dress code policy is

Dress code in Sequoyah is unreasonable to the point where you can’t wear leggings without a shirt down to your knees. The only thing guys have to worry about is not to sag while girls have way more rules to follow , which is not gender neutral. I got dress coded for wearing a “ crop top “ but you couldn’t even see my stomach , not even when i raised my arms. A ton of other people have got dress coded for unreasonable rules they have to follow. Stop sexualizing 13 and 14 year olds because our shoulders are “ a distraction to the boys” or “ We are showing too much skin.” The thing is most of us aren’t showing much skin at all , I get no crop tops or short shorts , that’s reasonable, but when it comes to practically wearing a dress over leggings because they are an “ undergarment “ that is unreasonable. One of the main ways people express themselves at school is through their clothing style and to not be able to do that is belittling. Again , i’m not completely against dress code because I understand there are certain limits regarding crop tops , and shorts but you could at least do your best to make it easier to abide by. For example instead of having to wear shorts that are no more than two inches above the knee , maybe make it to where the shorts can be no longer than mid thigh. As for leggings , the shirt really only needs to cover out butt , because why are our mid thighs to much skin and distracting ? They are covered anyway and since leggings aren’t even considered an “ undergarment “ it is not unreasonable to be able to wear a shorter shirt with them. Same goes for ripped jeans , especially since they are just rips not just full on shorts we should be able to have rips up to our mid thigh just like shorts. It is not revealing too much skin because they cover more than shorts even do. I understand that we are in school which is public and we have limits to what we can wear but why are you encouraging boys to be distracted by the amount of skin we show? Most boys don’t even pay attention to what we wear , and it’s mainly a small minority that do. I personally don’t know anyone whose got cat called because they are waving their shoulders or legs free for every boy to faint over.

Anyways my point is that dress code should be more gender neutralized and not as strict.
