After the good news on Nov. 8th, that Japan is finally opening up its borders to study-abroad students, we get the shocking news today that they will close once again at the end of this month.
We as students of Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, have been paying equal tuition the school as the students currently studying in Japan, who has full access to the wide variety of amenities, equipments for musicians, and most importantly opportunities that the school has to offer.
On top of that we also cannot participate in even the most trivial parts of a student’s life such as final exams, due to the extreme difficulty of accessing musical abilities through video.
Thus we demand that the school refunds 70% of our tuition fee of ￥745,000 per semester attended online, and the tuition fee from now on be lowered to ￥223,500 per semester attended online. We also demand a complete refund of the Disaster and Accidents Insurance fee of ￥72,650 paid at the time of enrollment, to be paid later upon eventual entrance to Japan, and the facilities fee of ￥250,000 per semester attended, which should only be required for students living in Japan who has actual access to the school’s facilities.
We are not going to endure this tyranny any longer. Please help us spread the word, and stop this blatant exploitation of international students!
