To whom may concern,

We are a group of students who wish to contribute our efforts to stop COVID-19 from the total outbreak in the UK. We have already known that the coronavirus is a highly contagious epidemic disease that caused over 100,000 confirmed cases and 3,400 death around the globe. Up to 05/03/2020, there are 163 confirmed cases in the UK and one within the QUB campus. However, the university is planning to be “operating as normal.” If the Senior Officers do not take action, the virus has potential to jeopardise not only the health of students and staff, but also our families and neighbours.

What we can do now is avoiding gatherings so that the virus will not spread from person to person. And luckily in QUB, we already have online teaching and meeting systems that enable us to study from home.
