I want a new law passed in honour of my now deceased dog who was extremely well loved called Widget's Law.
He suffered multiple seizures for seven hours and the local emergency vets refused to help him with treatment without £150 consultation fee up front not including any medical treatment and we couldn't get through to the PDSA until 19:00pm and by then it was too late and we sadly had to euthanize him.
Widget's Law would mean that all emergency vet care is made free of charge or at the very least that they have a small donation to help with the treatment costs whether the owners have insurance or not.
This way no more animals have to suffer again the way that my dog did due to financial distress.
