Thousands of people drive on Monarch Road each and every day. A major constituent of these drivers are students of Rock Canyon High School. As the connecting road from Castle Pines to Highlands Ranch, Monarch is heavily traveled and often the quickest way for students to get to school each day. Despite this, Monarch is only two lanes. Every morning, heavy traffic flow complicates and delays the commute to school for hundreds of students and people who need drive on Monarch. To decrease this inconvenience, the road should be widened to four lanes (two on each side).
