The 5G network will be or is being rolled-out all over Australia, despite warnings from many Doctors/Scientists around the world about possible devastating health risks to humans.

This will affect all of us whether we like it or not, as it will be all around us, due to limited area that 5G small cells can provide coverage for, they will need to be installed at a much higher density – around one per every 10 to 12 households.

Scientific studies and research have increasingly shown that exposure to Electric Magnetic Fields (EMF) radiation has a long list of harmful health effects:
"The US National Institutes of Health revealed that rats exposed to EMF radiation for nine hours a day over a two year period, developed unusual brain and heart tumours and sustained damage to their DNA.”

I'm calling on Senator the Hon Mitch Fifield – Minister for Communications to take key actions that include:

1. Temporarily halting the rollout of 5G networks until they can be properly tested and ensured safe for humans (especially more vulnerable demographics, like children) and the environment.

2. Informing people of the health risks associated with wireless communication and promoting safer use.

3. Creating an independent, unbiased agency of EMF scientists to draw up new standards for EMF exposure and monitor/study the effects of EMR as time goes on.

4. Keeping the wireless industry from lobbying for/influencing/regulating the expansion of wireless technology.

5. Switching to favour wired digital communication over wireless.

I started this petition, because…
I’m a very concerned parent of 3 kids – already a 5G tower has gone-up about 50m from my kids’ school. Apparently new structures cannot be built within 300m of schools, but there’s no law against placing them on existing structures.
I’m also concerned that this will be another case of roll-it-out first and worry about the health implications later.
