Razors. Perfume. Shampoos. The list of things women pay more for and the list just goes on...
A woman may be overpaying an item for almost everything.
As part of millennial generation, we are greatly concerned with the rights of women. We are not living in a time period where women are oppressed, maltreated and harassed.
We would like to address the problem regarding the unequal distribution of taxation between men and women, specifically Pink Tax which is about women's items are priced higher than men's.
bradsdeals.com posted some ways on how to prevent pink tax. First, buy in bulk since it can save more time and money as it is sold in wholesale. Second, shop with seasonal packaging because if it's off season, it would be cheaper since it is not on demand and on clearance sale. Third, take advantage of website's subscribe and save option because it could give you a good deal for an item. Lastly, sign up for store loyalty programs to earn points and use it for purchasing items.
If this problem will be addressed, the gender equality that all of us long for may be achieved. Equality should not only be stated in the words we say but also applied in the actions we do.
"Do not tax my gender."
