Negative gearing simply does not make logical sense. Try explaining to anyone outside Australia that the Government pays you for making an investment loss - they will think you have lost your mind.

Economics 101: increasing the supply of money causes inflation. It's time our politicians started basing policy on facts rather than what will buy them the most votes. As a young Australian I am demanding that someone stand up and put forward the necessary reforms to taxation that will make property affordable for everyone, not just a few.

Negative gearing isn't just turning housing into a ponzu scheme it also costs us better public transport, schools etc. this is due to the fiscal cost it creates.

This is a bad idea; remove negative gearing on property first.
