Destroying wildlife, forests and the drinking water for many on Cape Cod so you can play toy soldier makes zero sense in the modern world. It’s time we put the interests of all beings first and fade out the military industrial complex ASAP. Do the right thing.

This Base is for protecting water & wildlife. Please stay within those parameters. Cape Cod is one of the Bay State’s gems. Rifle ranges are not good for residents or tourists.

I moved to Sandwich in 1997 in the midst of the Super Fund Cleanup. (The cost for the cleanup was $1.2 billion.) It was my understanding our water supply was fully protected by environmental regulations since that time. I was shocked to learn of efforts to install a machine gun range on this same site.

This plan is outrageous especially given the impact of climate change on the Cape.

This is beautiful land in an area that needs open space. Weapons training is the exact opposite of life on the Cape

Protecting the water supply, mature trees, animal species and the health & wellbeing of residents needs to be the top priority. This gun range is a waste of money in my opinion and will put precious resources at unnecessary risk.
