Please read these petitions advocating municipal environmental
contraception funding, which is increasingly politically realistic due
to The Big Sort in more and more towns, and helps women's rights, quality of life, and school taxes as well as being at
least 5 times more cost-effective than any other environmental effort.

The prochoice and contraception movements are placing too high a priority on defensive actions in the red states when we should be going on the offensive, the side of "change", in the blue states, and cities. The worst places
will get even worse no matter what we do, but the unrealized political potential, the low hanging fruit, is in making the best places even better. This opportunity is being caused by The Big Sort. Mayors are not answerable to rural voters, unlike governors and presidents.

Because I am a woman-who the American right-to choose NOT to have children--should also have the right to have my most cost effective health care choice covered.

medical decisions, including the use of birth control, need to be made by a patient and their chosen medical providers, not politicians and certainly not insurance companies who are ultimately watching out for the profits of their shareholders, not the health of the patient. I am appalled that Senator Manchin would vote for this.

Senator Manchin, Shame on you! WV has far too many neglected and abused children. Our teen pregnancy rate rose this past year! Teen mothers often don't finish their schooling and have limited employment options. When pregnancies are planned, and mothers have adequate pre-natal care, we have healthy, wanted babies. . If their mothers had had access to affordable birth control, their lives and the lives of their wanted children would be far better.

I thought " you male sexist pig" was no longer used to describe politicians like you. We are not stuck in the '60. Will you be voting to repeal civil rights legislation from that same era?

We are supposed to have religion separated from government. This vote could only be because of his religion and because of this he is betraying all the women that he represents.

I do not think employers should have the right to decide what health benefits are covered for their employees. I believe that the ACA's definition of essential health benefits must be upheld and I was shocked to find out that Senator Manchin voted for the Blunt amendment.

We have one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the US and yet you chose to side with a bill that can only serve to increase this already sad statistic.
