Due to the changing of clocks, there has been an increase in heart attacks and suicide rates. There is a 10-24% increase in heart attacks the Monday after the change. Also, staying on Daylight savings time instead will allow for more sunlight in the spring and summer when outdoor activities are most common. The winter days will become darker earlier but outdoor activities are less common so there would not be as much affected. This bill is close to being made but it needs the extra push of community members to convince the state government and that is where the voting citizens of Washington State come into play.
