Problem
The Paris Treaty Agreement is an agreement that was created by 196 parties from around the world of which Paris decided to “adopt green energy sources, cut down on climate change emissions and limit the rise of global temperatures — while also cooperating to cope with the impact of unavoidable climate change” (The Scoop). President Donald Trump decided to take the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord back in 2017 because of the economic status and the competitive risk it would take on America. This was one of his first major accomplishments within his first year in office after President Barak Obama. He was not wrong for doing so, but he has created his own plan to keep down the number of greenhouse gas emissions being produced.
Solution
Now that the politics behind President Trump have changed, his mindset has changed on the rejoining of the Paris Climate Accord. He said he would keep an open mind about rejoining the Paris Agreement because it is what he believes in; he believes in keeping an open mind to working out the “better deal” so he calls it. This is important to President Trump in order to keep business moving smoothly with other countries. It is only fair that the United States is on good terms with all allies. Trump is a businessman so as the President of the United States he will handle all his deals like a businessman.
The Paris Treaty Agreement has noticed that every party is going to have their differences with negotiating and following the precise plan of the agreement. As for every parties target(s), the agreement wishes that every party sets goals to aim for these targets of the agreement. As for the United States, Trump has looked over and downed the US’s pledge of reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions being produced.
Personal story
We as American's have fought for our freedom of land and it is important to keep it that way. Climate change is happening all around us as Trump has noticed, and he has put in his efforts with and without the help of the Paris Treaty Agreement. He is doing what is best for America, but he has also realized that not agreeing with this Paris Treaty could cause issues. This impact could bring communities closer by helping to increase the awareness of what is happening and what will happen to our planet in the near future if we do not act now. Rejoining the Paris Treaty will help in the near future, helping to preserve our planets' life a little while longer.
