Niño Dominic Matienzo started this petition to Senate of the Philippines

The TRAIN Law was signed by President Rodgrigo Duterte on December 19, 2017, lowering the personal income tax rates and expanding the Value Added Tax (VAT) by January 2018. We, an ordinary Filipino citizens including  workers, producers and employees, young-students, merchants and consumers, drivers and computers, small businessmen, farmers and professionals strongly oppose the tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion of TRAIN.

One of the bad effects of TRAIN law is inflation rate. There would be no taxes for those who are earning below P250 000, but their taxes will be added on other products like medicines and rice. Even though we are not paying, the amount of money that you are expending was like in the time when we are paying our taxes. People who are jobless will be more in poverty because prices of products will increase more. Corruption also may occur in the government because corruption is not new in the government. More government officials will get money from the tax collected from the people. In spite of different change endeavors over the  long time, the charge framework within the Philippines proceeds to endure from chronic shortcomings. Charge rates are tall relative to the country’s ASEAN neighbors, however revenue productivity remains moo. Filipino person citizens are overburdened by individual pay tax brackets that have not been ordered to expansion, coming about in bracket crawl. The genuine esteem of extract tax rates on petroleum items have moreover been disintegrated by expansion and the plan is characterized by a number of exclusions and rates that are moo by universal guidelines. The value-added charge base has limited from over the top exclusions.

TRAIN law would really be a burden to the people especially who are experiencing poverty. If the train would be removed, we highly recommend to make the prices of expenditures to lessen despite of the taxes  that we will be paying
