GET MY 1 ACRE PROPERTY IN SEMINOLE (UNINCORPORATED PINELLAS COUNTY) ZONED FOR HORSES

We bought an acre property with the intent to keep our horse on it. We were told that the property was zoned for horses, the listing for the house said that it was. We called the zoning office before we closed to confirm that it was zoned for horses and got a verbal affirmation that it was. We found out a few months ago the property, in fact is not zoned for horses. We can apply to have it rezoned and hope that no one objects. We live in a horse area. We have an acre of property. We are the only property within a 1 mile radius that is at least 1 acre and not zoned an RR or RE. I have 3 "horse crossing" signs within a half mile of my house AND we are a half mile from the Walsingham Horseman Association.
It has been a lifelong dream of mine to have a property with horses on it. My daughter has now joined me in that dream. We have owned our horse for about a year and had a deal where we did not have to pay board and only paid for his food and maintenance and they used him for lessons and therapy. We assumed once that deal was no longer available he would be at home with us. Unfortunately that deal is gone and we found out we are not zoned for horses. Please help us get our property re-zoned so we can bring our sweet horse home.
