Laura Bosco has been a Juvenile Division State Attorney for over 28 years. In that time I have watched her dish out the harshest punishments to young black men in comparison to their white counterparts.  They are being branded for life for childhood mistakes and are being exposed to the prison system which is mentally scarring. Rehabilitation has been proven to help juvenile offenders not reoffend and is an imperative part of the corrections system. I’ve noticed that instead of rehabilitation procedures that are afforded to other children young black men get jail or prison time. Our young black children do not have a voice or choice when Ms. Bosco is persecuting them. I feel like they are forced into guilty pleas whether they are guilty or not and then have the book thrown at them. I think Ms. Bosco doesn’t have the best interest of our young black children in mind. I feel like she uses our black children to up her conviction rate and ruin their lives. It’s absolutely devastating. I do not feel comfortable with her being one of the determining factors of our young black children’s fate. Her cases over the last 28 years need to be investigated. I’m confident they will find that she shows favoritism towards white children vs black children. I feel like she is racist and we cannot stand by the wayside any longer and watch her throw our young black children in jail or prison any longer! I have had parents tell me they are afraid to stand up or speak to Ms. Bosco on behalf of their children but we must speak up and UNITE to make a much needed change. We need to out the racists in the judicial system so our children (and ourselves) receive fair treatment and have a fighting chance in life. Our children are being thrown in jails or prisons by Ms. Bosco where they are neglected, abused, and raped. We must stop this injustice. Let this petition be an extension of your voice. Please show your support and sign this petition for change and equality in the Seminole County Juvenile Judicial System and for the investigation and removal of Ms. Bosco. We cannot let them have our children!
