Stop empire nightclub reopening

Empire nightclub was the last place that Sam Cook walked in to. Sadly, Sam had his life taken away from him whilst celebrating his 21st birthday in October 2017. Sam was stabbed in an unprovoked attack and unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to save him due to the knife being stabbed directly into his heart. This club was known to be a rough spot in the city of Liverpool. This is due to the management allowing known gangs to enter the premises and for not carrying out thorough checks. Less than one month after Sams death, they heartlessly tried to reopen this nightclub under a new name, this was thankfully stopped by the Sefton council and by Merseyside police. Now, a year on from the tragic event which has changed so many lives, EMPIRE are trying to reopen this club. This needs to be stopped before someone else is hurt or killed in another senseless attack. Please sign this petition, not just out of respect for Sam, but for other people who have also lost their loved ones through knifecrime, such as Adam Ellison. Sign this and stand up for our city and let’s be the change we wish to see. #nomoreknives
