Fire Sedgwick town plow driver, Chad Blanchard.

Fire Sedgwick town plow driver, Chad Blanchard.
Why this petition matters
I’m creating this petition to get rid of the current plow driver in Sedgwick, ME. This man is currently paid $30,000 a month to care for our roads. He has shown time and time again this winter that he is not capable of doing this job.
This morning my boyfriend went off the road about 100 feet from our house while leaving for work. The roads had not been plowed yet or sanded and the time was 5:30 AM. Chad Blanchard (the plow driver) drove past him as he was off the road. My boyfriend exited the car and waived to him for help and he continued driving by. He then drove by 2 more times without stopping as my boyfriend was waving from the side of the road.
After the third time going by, he finally decided to sand. Mind you, my house is 50 ft from the road with many windows and I was watching him with my baby for a long time. I watched him go by multiple times without sanding and plowing.
After my boyfriend walked home, I decided to contact the plow driver personally. He continued to lie to me on the phone stating he had sanded. I was looking at the road and have pictures of what the road looked like when my boyfriend left the house as well as pictures of the local town lines connecting to Sedgwick.
This man has no care for our town or our people. He has no compassion and a bad work ethic. The people of Sedgwick are close. We are a tight community, we need someone who cares about what our travel to work will be, what the ride on the bus for our kids will be like, if it will be safe or not. I have never in my life driven by someone off the road in this town and not stopped, I would hope others would do the same for me and my own.
Please help show the Town Selectmen that we NEED someone new and reliable to take care of our town roads. We shouldn’t have to wait for a tragic accident to take place for things to change.
